I believe that serial is the old Microsoft "Student Key" and that it is now blocked by MS.

Hope I'm incorrect.

that is a volume-license key and there is no need of activation if you use a volume-license key.

A file named "Student Key Fix" has floated around for a few years. It contained a .vbs script and key-file to replace the above key with another that did work. Volume license keys can be cancelled by Microsoft - don't pay your yearly license fee and see what happen to the XP computers at your business.

I can't wait to see what happens when MS stops support/updates/patches for XP April of next year - will they terminate all the copies of XP still out there?

They key is 100% working.
In XP, Microsoft blacklist this key or not.
By using this key, you dont not need to activate xp with any crack.
